BMI smaller than 18
For adults a BMI smaller than 18 is not healthy, people with such a small BMI suffer from underweight. For children a BMI smaller than 18 is normal. Are you suffering underweight? While you eat a lot? Then it is very important that you make an appointment with your family doctor to have investigated what the causes are for your small BMI and how they possibly can be treated.

BMI between 18 - 20
With a BMI between 18 - 20 you are skinny, while a BMI between 18 and 18.5 even is already classified as sleight underweight. Being skinny does not necessarily mean that you are unhealthy.
