BMI between 25 - 30
Most people with a BMI over 25 are too fat. This applies to a lesser extent for athletes and bodybuilders, who because of
their greater amount of muscle mass may have a larger BMI.
Being overweight is actually a medical concern because it can seriously affect a person's health. The health problems that
stem from being overweight go way beyond the ones we usually hear about, like diabetes and heart disease. Being overweight
can also affect a person's joints, breathing, sleep, mood, and energy levels.
If you want to reach a healthy BMI, you will have to loose some weight. Healthy low calories meals and lots of excercise
can help you on the way to a good BMI. If you are able to loose 10% of your weight, then for you the health risks have
already decreased a lot. There is no need to reach your optimal BMI just in a couple of weeks; fast slimming very often
only leads to a temporarily result. Loosing two pounds a month is fine for you, that way your body and your natural sense
of feeling hungry will adjust themselves to your new eating habits. Slimming this way can make your new lower BMI being
permanent.
